If you’re looking for a property with the wow-factor, you’ll find it here. Inside this sprawling stately home, you’ll be greeted by a grand two-story entrance. The high, vaulted ceilings expose picturesque wooden beams, while stylish wooden floors lead you through the property’s many rooms.

There’ll be no fighting over the best bedroom here; with seven outstanding rooms to choose from, each has been tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished. We’re rigorous about standards, which is why you’ll enjoy only the best over-stuffed mattresses, most luxurious linens and extra plump pillows. The Master Bedroom even has its own en suite, boasting a relaxing bathtub and walk-in shower.

You’ll love how inviting the living areas are too. Come together and cook in the fully-equipped gourmet kitchen. Topped with granite work surfaces and featuring high-grade appliances, a stand-alone ice machine and dishwasher, everything will be at your disposal when cooking up a gourmet meal from the fully stocked fridge. We’ve even gone as far as to hand-pick premium plates and cutlery for you to enjoy, so you can dish up like a professional too.

No one will have to eat on their laps either. The extraordinary, hand crafted wooden dining table provides plenty of space for everyone to sit, eat and be merry. It’s the heart of the home; the décor warm, comfortable and inviting. Later, head to one of the lodge’s two in-house bars to enjoy your favorite tipple with your favorite people. The kids (and most of the big kids too) will be entertained for hours in the games room, which includes a full size, quality pool table and poker table.

You’ll have noticed by now, Makers Lodge is no ordinary retreat and that’s further confirmed when you step outside onto the incredibly maintained grounds. As well as an in-ground heated swimming pool with its own basketball hoop, this country estate has a 16-person hot tub. Come sundown, you’ll be eager to sink into the warm bubbles, spellbound by the beautiful dramatic sunsets. It’s the best seat in the Hocking Hills, trust us!

Reservation Policy

Our Rates

Our reservation system may not quote a discounted price. We will honor all discounts and apply them before charging your credit card.

Age Requirement

The booking age requirement for each lodge is 30 years of age. Valid ID may be required upon check-in. We do not rent our facilities for after-prom, high school graduation parties, college formal parties, bachelor/bachelorette and fraternity or sorority parties. All events are subject to approval by owners/management prior to confirmation of a reservation. We do not allow ANY visitors without management approval. Only registered guests (24) for your stay will be given access to the property. Others will be turned away. No exceptions

Deposit

In addition to the rental fees, a $1000.00 security deposit is required for all reservations. Note: We require the security deposit 30 days prior to your check in date but we will not deposit the check until 7 days before your arrival in order to verify funds. Deposits are usually received back within 5-7 business days after your departure. The security deposit will be conditionally but HAPPILY REFUNDED.

Payment

Advance payment of at least 50% of your stay is required at the time of reservation. Any balance including the security deposit is due no less than 30 days prior to your stay. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted. Personal check or bank check are the only form of payment accepted for the security deposit. Extra charges apply for heating of the swimming pool. Quoted prices are subject to change due to changing gas prices – call closer to your stay for details.

Cancellations

Reservations that are cancelled less than 60 days after you book a reservation, will receive a refund of your prepaid rental fee and security deposit (if already paid), less a cancellation fee of $300. Cancellations outside of 60 days (from the time you booked) but more than 60 days prior to your stay will receive a 50% refund of your prepaid rental fee and security deposit (if already paid). Our policy does not allow refunds for cancellations less than 60 days prior to your stay, however, we will consider these rare events on a case by case basis to determine if there is anything we can do to mitigate a loss for both parties. In the event of an early departure, we cannot give any kind of refund. There are no cancellations due to inclement weather. We do have a large whole house generator that automatically kicks on. Changes to the arrival or departure date are subject to our cancellation policy and/or a $125 change fee. Lessor may cancel this reservation at any time by returning your prepaid amount. Refunds for communicable diseases or viruses are only offered if there is a full travel ban. We encourage to to purchase trip insurance through our third-party vendor - please call our office for more information.

Damages

We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any damages or excessive cleaning from your stay. If you notice any problems upon checking in, please let us know right away.
